The City University Agriculture Department Afgoye Farm.

The Agriculture Department maintains a 10 acre farm in Afgoye, 30KM south of Mogadishu. In the farm, both production and experimental farming is conducted year round. Drip irrigation and canal water are both used from the River Shabelle.

Lemons, vegetables and corn grow in the CU farm. Mango, banana, papaya and many other fruit trees are found throughout the farm. Natural fertilizers are used to minimize the use of chemicals in food production. Modern farm machinery and a truck to transport farm products to the city also belong to the farm.
