Civil Engineering: Lecturer, Assistant Professor, or Associate professor with an earned PhD from a recognized university and a significant academic experience. Master's degree in Civil Engineering with a considerable academic and work experience will also be entertained. The department of Civil & Infrastructure Engineering currently offers the two tracks of Structural Engineering and Geotechnical Engineering. The qualified, successful candidate might also be offered additional responsibilities. 2. Information and Communications Technology: Lecturer, Assistant Professor, or Associate Professor, preferably with an earned PhD from a recognized university and significant experience. Holders of relevant Master's degrees with significant pertinent experience can also apply. Expertise in information security, proven ability to teach programming courses, and the ability to contribute to the development a Master’s degree in Applied Information Technology are essential. 3. Political Science: Lecturer, Assistant Professor, or Associate professor with an earned PhD from a recognized university and a significant academic experience. Master's degree in political Science with a considerable academic experience will also be entertained. The ability to contribute to a planned graduate program in governance and conflict resolution will be an added asset. The department of political science currently offers the two tracks of international relations and public administration. The qualified, successful candidate might also be offered the position of Department Head. 4. Agriculture: Lecturer, Assistant Professor, or Associate professor with a PhD and academic experience (both teaching and research). Holders of a highly relevant Master of Science degree and expertise in agronomy, livestock production, or range management in semi-arid, tropical climates will be considered. 5. Marine Science: Lecturer, Assistant Professor, or Associate Professor with a PhD in a marine science field from a recognized university and significant academic experience (both teaching and research). Master's degree in Marine Science with considerable academic experience will be considered. Expertise in marine biology and oceanography will be a definite asset. Fisheries technologies and research in coastal health issues are among priority areas for the university. The qualified, successful candidate might also be offered the position of Department Head. 6. General Education Courses Instructor: A minimum of a Master's degree in a social science field from a recognized university, and at least two years of teaching at the tertiary level. An earned Doctorate is preferred. The ability and flexibility to teach various social sciences and humanities courses are definite requirements. 7. Business Administration: Lecturer, Assistant Professor, or Associate professor who can also serve as the Department Head and can help develop and teach a planned MBA program. An earned PhD from a recognized university and a considerable teaching experience is preferred. An MBA with at least 5 years of academic experience will be considered. Expertise in International business and ports and logistics management will be an added asset. |
